"When I said yes to this journey, I was stressed out, not sleeping well, working 60 hours a week and at my heaviest because I let being "busy" become an excuse to neglect taking care of ME. Starting this has been the blessing of a lifetime because I can honestly say that I'm the happiest and healthiest version myself that I've ever been - even in school when I was extremely active and athletic, it's nothing like the health I feel now. "I’ve tried a lot of fad diets, meal replacements, calorie counting, and working out on my own not really knowing what I was doing. And surprise surprise none of it worked, I never lost any weight or felt any better about myself. I joined a health care program that was 30+ hours a week and I thought I’d never have the time or energy to get healthy and workout. Then I saw an old friend from college (Madison) post about doing it as a mom!! Only 30 minutes a day and no fad diets so I was like yes. I woke up at 5am to do my workouts before clinical and I meal prepped on Sunday delicious foods that didn’t make me feel like I was dieting and I stuck with it. I stuck with it because even if the scale didn’t change like before I still had a plan, an end goal. I was doing MM100 and that kept me committed, no giving up when I didn’t feel like it was working. Also I didn’t care if I was losing weight because I felt stronger and better about what I was putting into my body! I did lose 20 pounds though and sometimes I forget until I wear an old dress and it fits so different and I think holy crap.
